Gaia Film (2014)

The Gaia Movement was developed following the release and success of the 2014 short environmental dance film, Gaia.

Gaia uses an evocative blend of movement, music, and film to highlight the human impact on the climate crisis and reminds us of our kinship with Planet Earth. Through the language of dance, Gaia tells a universal story, relevant across the globe.

Created by the Gaia Movement founder/ dancer, Erin Fowler, in collaboration with film-maker and environmental activist, Nick Graalman, Gaia offers a point of inspiration for environmental advocacy through the arts. Made in South Australia, it has screened in over 23 film festivals around the world and has won a significant number of awards including Best Experimental London Film Awards, Humanitarian Award Accolade Film Festival, and Special Selection in the prestigious Wildscreen Film Festival in the UK.
